What a way to express your feeling that you have with held deep inside. The strength you seek, you have always had. Although it may not show like moms, you have a different type of strength, we both do. God is all knowing, and just asks that you (we) acknowledge him and that you (we) speak what it is that you want “Ask and it shall be given“. Well done though Mrs. Crawford, well done.

I was led....just searching today to transfer my bus website and came across Gutter through godaddy. God always leads us.....I truly appreciated this opportunity to find your site and read each aspect which really touched my heart. I am a born-again saved woman in the Lord. I thank you for this portion ----Always keep in mind that what looks good, isn't always good. For those that genuinely ask for wisdom, God will grant it; therefore ask, and beware of those things that look good, but isn't always good.

Cassandra... I would like to thank you for your comment, along with sharing that information regarding your uncle. My condolences go out to you, as well others who've loved and knew your uncle.

Unfortunately, like you mentioned, there are a lot of companies that sell products that causes fatal diseases, diabetes, high blood pressure, and etc. It’s mindboggling to know that these companies make millions off of our expense! It's funny... Just this afternoon I was speaking with Nakia D. Hood about obesity, and how I didn't understand how people could let themselves get to a point that they can't even walk. At first, he thought that my statement was a little bizarre, and judgmental; but after further explaining myself, he understood where I was coming from. What he did emphasize, however, (which got me to look at things in a different light), was that many people let themselves go, due to the struggles of "LIFE". He mentioned that "LIFE" was like subscriptions... we all have issues. For some, the issues of “LIFE” have driven them to excessively drink. For another, the issues of “LIFE” have caused them to over eat. For another, the issues of life has caused them to be a smoker, and etc. He pointed out to me that a person that's obese might not necessary struggle with alcoholism. And a person with alcoholism might not necessary struggle with being obese. When he pointed this out, it made me think about how I dealt with my issues. Although I might walk to the lakefront to clear my mind, read the Word, or pray; I’m still dealing with my issues in one way or another. I say all that to say this... Businesses, corporations, and people in general have capitalized on our weaknesses; by providing products that's "DETERIMENTAL" to our health. They con us to believe that these products will make us feel better; when in actuality it ultimately destroys our health! Since we all have different issues, and deal with those issues in different ways, we have to uplift, encourage, and motivate one another in love, truth, and action. For a lack of knowledge, people are destroyed, so let’s provide that knowledge to those that need it. Thanks again for sharing!

This article is well written and gives food for thought. I watched my uncle die, emphysema, addicted to cigarettes and alcohol, beer, miller ponies. He was on OXYGEN, could barely speak, STILL smoking. He either could not kick the habit or realized his condition was so bad that he continued to committ suicide. I am not sure which. However, an addiction is an addiction. Whether it be drugs, alcohol or sex. The government and states are putting a lot of emphasis to stop smoking and that is a GREAT thing but why only penalized those people. I submit to you they need to close some McDonalds and Dunkin donuts. Obesity is just as bad and causes a lot of other fatal disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, etc. Which is the greater evil?

This blog was very well written and bought out some excellent points. Age does not dictate whether you will be a good parent or not but becoming a parent should be thought out. We should strive to pick a life partner, someone on the same page as you so that we can begin to give our children that strong foundation of two parents. We all must become conscious of who we "mate" with. Our communities have been divided for long enough. It is never too late to become conscious beings. - one love

The greatest problem in our society is the absence of God. This is where the Church needs to unify and work together to tackle the needs of our society the way Jesus did for 3.5 years. The church is the ONLY hope for our society. I guess my concern is not so much about what's broken but how to fix it. How can the church be the catalyst for change in our society? How can we (the church) fix that which is broken and inject some Holy Spirit serum into our society? As a pastor we can be so focused on the 4 walls of our church and forget the broken society round-about-us. I don't want to be that kind of pastor. The way I see it is that this is an idol problem. When God is not elevated the way he should be then, naturally, something or someone will be; either money or fame. How can the church elevate God to the highest place in a way that young kids can see it as true replacement for these idols in our society.
